The "Steady State Cardio" Method to Burn Body Fat
There are a number of ways to lose body fat, but some are more effective than others. The most popular method is what I call "Steady State Cardio." This basically means doing cardio at a pace moderate for a period of time. The goal is to get your heart rate from 60 to 80 percent of your maximum heart rate. It has been demonstrated it is an optimal area to use energy as fat while you work Out. If you do this for a long period of time, you burn fat from your body. This is the most popular form of cardio and it works pretty well.
The Interval Training "Method to Burn Body Fat
Interval Training is not as popular as Steady State Cardio, but I think it is much more effective to burn stubborn body fat. Interval training is essentially the alternating high and low intensity throughout your workout cardio. A typical workout HIIT might be getting on a treadmill and walking one minute, followed by a period of one minute. Would you repeat this pattern until your cardio session was complete.
Intervals: Demonstrated its superiority in several studies from the University
Early to mid-90s several academic studies have been conducted that have shown how Interval Training allowed people to burn fat at rates faster than any other form of cardio. This method has been years proven to be the superior method to burn body fat, yet people are still stuck in the past doing the same old steady state cardio. I think that interval training is not understood by most people and therefore it is not as popular than the traditional method of Cardio equilibrium state. If you want really skinny, then you must understand how Interval Training Works!
Interval Training Will Burn Body Fat hours after your workout is finished
Steady State Cardio is very effective for burning body fat for 30 to 60 minutes, you work out. Interval training is very effective for burning body fat until 24 hours after completing the training! Without being too technical, Interval Training will increase the natural HGH levels that occur in your body. HGH is a hormone in your body will burn body fat like crazy. If you can find a way to increase the natural levels of HGH in your body you as thin as you want! Interval training is the means to do exactly that. It has been shown that interval training can burn up to six times as much fat than traditional cardio. The answer HGH is one of the reasons behind it.
Interval training creates a significant deficit in calories
This is a difficult job which burns more total calories than traditional cardio. A very simple approach to losing weight is to burn more calories than you consume in a day. A session of intense intervals will increase your metabolism for several hours after training. The total number of calories burned will be much greater than if a more moderate the heart was used.
A Cardio Workout that works very well
I used several variations of this workout of 6 years and it keeps me at 6 to 8 percent body fat year.
1) Hop on a treadmill, bike or elliptical machine
2) Walk or run at a steady pace Cardio state for 1.5 minutes
3) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (set the resistance higher)
4) Go back to the same Steady State Cardio Pace for 1.5 minutes
5) Jog or peddle fast for 30 seconds (top speed / resistance that the first times)
6) Repeat for 20-30 minutes
Note: Start sprints in 30 seconds at a moderate pace and go a bit faster for each of the remaining sprints. The final sprint of 30 seconds should be your most difficult. It's a good sign if you're short of breath, your skin is hot and you sweat. This will result in an increase of HGH in your body. Some people call that the "flush HGH" … that's what you want. Interval training is difficult, but you'll love the results!
